undoing indents

I sometimes change my mind about text I've originally inserted with bullets,
and try to change the line to a non-bulleted item. However, if it takes more
that a single line, the second and all subsequent lines are indented. I
can't figure out how to make multiple lines appear flush to the left with the
top line of text.

Any advice?

Turn on your ruler (View|Rulers) and hold down your CTRL key while you click
and drag the indent markers. That should take care of it.
