Somehow my grandson has changed my desktop to vertical instead of the normal
horizontal. How do I get it back to normal. And how do I stop it happening
again!

Try CTRL+ALT+Up Arrow. Look in your display properties for the advanced
video adapter settings and disable the hotkey. It is a feature of your
graphics card drivers so the precise location will be determined by what
you have installed.

Some graphics cards come with utilities or an option to rotate your display.
Most likely to be found in the Display/Advanced option.

Click on Start/Control Panel/Display/Setting Tab, Advanced button or it
could be an
Icon in the control panel specifically for the Video Card you have.

The following may also work: CTRL+ALT+Up arrow on some but not all video
cards.
