Undo Linux/XP Dual Boot on Computer

I have a computer that is setup with 2 hdd to dual
boot into Linux and XP. I want to remove the hd
that has Linux on it and have the computer just boot
into XP. I don't want to loose the data on the hd with XP.
Can someone give me the steps how to
boot off the XP CD and restore the hd with XP
to a boot drive with out reformatting the hd?

Thanks,

James

You /should/ be all set with this:

Repairing a Multi-Boot:

Depending on the age and version of your Linux distro (yup, for standards
Linux sure lacks some - I'm a Linux user at times so don't blame me) you
/should/ be okay with just fixing the boot options that way... If not then
the MBR might be toast, try the above first though.

I tried what you suggested. It didn't fix the issue. Appears when
I installed Fedora Linux on the second drive, GRUB also wrote
something on the drive that windows is installed on. If I disconnect
the second drive that Fedora is installed on, on boot up I an error
"GRUB Hard Disk Error".

Unless you have some other suggestion as to how to fix that, I'll
just live with it like it is even tho I would like to remove the
drive with Fedora and install a larger drive for windows. Was
hoping there was a way to remove Linux.

Thanks for your help.

Boot with the XP disk into the Recovery Console. Once in, do:

fixmbr [enter] - follow any instructions and then do
bootcfg /rebuild
