Undo a cut

Hello and thanks
I cut a folder which I was going to move. At the time of the "Cut" Windows
Explorer encountered an error and closed before I could "Paste". Now the
folder is nowhere to be found. Anyone know how I can recover this folder and
its contents?

Unfortunately, you've discovered why "Copy" is better than "Move". You
could try a System Restore to before you "Cut". I'm not sure this will
work, but it couldn't hurt.

Just wondered if you ever managed to retrieve your 'cut'. I'm in the
same boar right now. Highly irritating !

You might try a System Restore and hope that the pointers to that
particular folder reappear. This is the exact reason why it is *always*
preferable to Copy and Paste rather than Move or Cut and Paste. Yes,
there is an extra step, but you've just discovered why that teeny bit
of more time is worth it.
