Understanding IE Crash

Several days ago, while following links from a Google search, I got a
message that Internet Explorer was going to shut down due to an "error."
This had never happened before, nor has it since.
Can anyone explain why it happened and what, if anything, I can or should do
about it?
Here is the only information I can offer, from the Event Viewer:
Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
urlmon.dll, version 6.0.2900.2627, fault address 0x00039086.

Then I shouldn't worry about it, JD. You may have just landed on a poorly
coded (or worse) page.

Thanks very much for the peace of mind. I wondered if that might be a
possibility. Some of the links were to remote overseas locations. Your
advice is greatly appreciated.
