Unclassified.Spyware.61
The MS Anti-Spyware program finds this signature and
removes it. Within minutes the program reinstalls itself.
It shuts down the "realtime" protection and it shuts down
the "TeaTimer" protection from Spybot S&D.

The spyware also downloads Troj/Multidr-DN (Sophos)
ventura5.exe in the system32 folder.

This is what I've done so far; (in safe mode wo/
networking) ran MS Anti-Spyware, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware6,
Bazooka antispyware, Sohpos Virus scan and tried
restoring back to the day before. Hunted for the actual
signature for this spyware to manually remove it and have
found nothing. Each time I have ran the anti-spyware
programs they will find componets and remove them.
Nothing has found the installer yet.

Can anyone help me here?

Try using the latest versions of Spybot and Ad-Aware Spybot is at ver. 1.4
and Ad-Aware is at ver. 1.06 Also try using Spyware Doctor and Sunbelt
Counterspy also all in safe mode.

An update of what finally worked (after 2 days of trying

to kill this tenacious beast)
1st I downloaded and ran "HIJACKTHIS", then I downloaded
and ran CWSHREDDER and finally I downoaded and ran the
trail version of EWIDO. I finally killed it! or should I
say these programs got it. What a nightmare and a half.
Thank-you ED and PLUN for your help.
The company that puts together a combination all the
programs that I've mentioned (MS Antispyware, Spybot S&D,
Ad-Aware6, CWshredder, HiJackThis and Ewido will get my
support and more importantly my money to purchase the it.

To Everyone: We need to ban together and boycott any
company the uses spyware to advertise and/or find ways to
sue the idoit writters on this trash! Call your
congressman, do something!!

I am wondering why you are continuing to use a version of
Ad-Aware (6.0) which has been succeeded by Ad-Aware SE,
and had no definition updates for quite a few months, do
you have some kind of a problem with Ad-Aware SE (Second
Edition) v1.06?
