Password is constantly blocked in msn email almost on daily basis.
Unfortunately Microsoft Customer services do not help much. I keep getting
very lengthy email to how to reset the password. But it does not last much.
I even used MS hotfix to unblock msn password. I have to live with resetting
the password on daily basis. Can any one help? I do truly appeciate it.
Best Regards!

What does "constantly blocked" mean? Is this a problem you've encountered
in Outlook Express?

MSN blocked password almost on daily basis. I reset the password in Hotmail
or MSN Account and follow Microsoft CSR instruction. Then I received error
message from MSN that the email and/or password is not correct. Microsoft
unblock the account in MSN and so on. Hope you can help.
Thanks for your kind response.

Are you attempting to use the MS email within Outlook Express? A
couple of years ago, Microsoft published a notice that the free MSN
accounts will be blocked when used in Outlook Express as a method of
stopping Spammers of using the MSN network to spread Spam. However,
if you had an old email address, you were still allowed to use OE with
your MSN account.

I still don't understand.

Can you access the account at www.hotmail.com using the password?

Has the account ever worked in Outlook Express (OE)? Are you accessing the
account via POP3 in OE?

If OE is throwing an error message when you try to access the account, post
the complete (verbatim) error.

I tried many times to sign into msn mail or Windows Live ID, but I
repeatedly getting: Sign in failed.

"You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect e-mail
address or password, or someone else is trying to sign in to the account"

I tried many solutions from Microsoft Knolwedge base but without any
success.

Cany any one help.

Thanks!

Dr. Midoh

So, what happens if someone is trying to crack the account ?
Does the account get locked ?

If someone cracks the MSN / Hotmail account, they will probably change
the password and then use the account for spamming. It happened
recently in my local area to a known radio personality.
