Hi
Can anyone help please. I have broadband and Microsoft Outlook 2002. I
have
a couple of email accounts (pop3), including Yahoo and Orange. I keep
getting
the following message when I test my email settings: "Unable to logon
to the
outgoing mail server (SMTP). Please verify your SMTP server and - if
your
server requires authentication - the authentication information on the
"More
Settings" pages".
I have checked & unchecked the "My outgoing Server (SMTP requires
authentication" button without it making any difference.
Many thanks to you all in anticipation

It would appear you don't have your account configured properly. Talk to
your ISP or consult their help pages for instructions on how to properly
configure your outgoing server.

Brian,
Thank you, but my ISP tells me that everything is set up correcetly. It
would appear to be a problem with Outlook or something else!

Well, then, if this were happening to me, I'd start with a new mail profile
and add the accounts in from scratch.
