unable to view photos on webpages

A few months ago, my computer stopped loading pictures on web pages.
Sometimes one or two photos will show up, and others won't. Sometimes
they'll all show up, and sometimes none will. It's completely random. More
often than not, nothing shows up. It doesn't even show red x's or anything,
but this is on websites that I know for a fact have pictures. It's really
obnoxious because I can't even shop online or anything. Everything was fine
and loaded perfectly normally when I first got my computer over the summer.
Did I mess up some security feature or something? Please let me know if you
have any idea what's going on with this. Thanks!
