Unable to view or FTP to any site on server

I am a web designer and frequently upload via FTP using IE. On a couple of
occasions I have been unable to connect via FTP (timed out) and then unable
to view any website that is on the same server, although the sites can be
viewed on another computer with a different ISP. I have contacted my ISP
(wanadoo) and they say it is nothing to do with them (of course!).

Normally the issues have been resolved within a few hours but I have been
unable to get access or view the sites for the last 5 days now.

It's strange, but I have google toolbar and when I try to view a page and
get the page cannot be displayed error it still loads the pagerank for that
site!

I have disabled firewall and anti-virus programs to no avail.

I have flushed my DNS Resolver cache using the ipconfig /flushdns in the
command prompt and still no luck.

Apart from me changing my ISP is there any ideas anyone has or anyone who
has encountered a similar problem and resolved the issue?

I am desperate!

Thanks in advance.

If you launch IE and go to Tools > Internet Option... > Advancad tab >
is the "Use Passive FTP" checked?

Better thing to do, imho, is to use a ftp program. There are several
free ones out there. You just have to Google for it. However, a very
nice one is FTPVoyager, see:

Hi Jurren

That setting is already selected in IE, but the problem is not just FTP, I
am unable to view any of the websites on that server as well as not able to
ftp.

Everything is ok with the server as I can view the websites and also ftp
from other computers elsewhere.

My ISP said it wasn't anything to do with them but I think they might be
blocking the server..would that be the case?

Its just strange how I can see the Google PageRank of any of the sites, it
just won't show them. I've also used another machine using the same
connection and its still the same.
