Unable to use search feature with XP Home

I recently switched IPOs and have been unable to use the
search feature with any search engine . . . I have
downloaded "qhostfix", which was indicated as the
possible problem, but nothings changed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, IPOs (initial public offerings) are required to provide Internet
access? You really meant ISPs (internet service providers).

Take a look at http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm. Try running
Ad-Aware, SpyBot, and CWS Shredder. There's lots here to try.
