I switched to SBC DSL and have been unable to use the
search feature with any search engine . . . SBC says that
my setup is working fine and cannot help me with this
problem. I was using another IP and did not have this
problem . . . I am running XP Home.

I have run searchbot, zone alram, adware, IE patch for
IE, reloaded IE and still can not use the search feature.

Help!

Rick

I had my search enginge hijacked once and adaware/spybot
did not detect a thing,I tried hijack this
www,spywareinfo.com and found the problem.Caution this
program may be hard to understand the results if so they
do have a support forum

Thanks for the reply,
I ran hijack this and there is a lot of stuff there.
How do I know what to delete?

Thanks,

Rick

You don't know. Ask the experts.

<paste>
Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log") HijackThis Tutorial
(recommended read)

Next, go to: http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Visiting the SpywareInfo forum to finish cleaning up your system is highly
recommended, as neither Ad-Aware or SpyBot can no longer completely remove
these pests. This is mainly due to new daily threats and the use of random
generated filenames used by these parasites!

AdAware and Spybot can be useful tools. You must *always* seek updates to
each of these applications *and* HijackThis before each and every use, even
"right out of the box".
