Windows XP professional version
To search my PC for files pressing the Search no longer
opens to enter the name for the file.

I have SBC Yahoo DLS services. Is this a problem with
Microsoft or Yahoo?

I've got the same or a similar problem w/ Windows XP Home Edition. The
Search window opens, but all I see is a plain space on the left and a plain
white space on the right -- no text box to enter anything. I don't have the
XP CDs, and I'm not sure where the i486 files mentioned in the fix are
located. There's not anything by that name in the windows/inf folder. I
also tried downloading the fix called "Restore Search on Taskbar," and got
the following message:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoFind"=dword:00000000

Any advice?

Thanks,
Alan
