unable to use passwords

I have no idea where this problem should be placed.
I have many forums, boards and download sites that require
a screen name and password. For some reason, my names and
passwords will not work. I am also unable to link from a
URL sent in e-mail. I have no idea what I should do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am really not too happy with WindowsXP which came with
this Dell computer.

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run
2. Type the following commands in the Run dialog box, and click OK (or hit
ENTER) after each command (noting the space between the 2 and the next
letter):
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 msjava.dll

Regarding your passwords, are you saying that since you upgraded to XP, they
have not worked? I am only guessing, but perhaps you need to "take
ownership"?

My Crystal Ball's not working today. Please expand on "my names and

click on such a link? Nothing or does an IE window open but not load?
