Unable to Update: Internet Connection not found.

There must be something interferring with the update
procedure on Microsoft Antivirus. I keep getting "Not
connected to the internet", when I try to update. I have
tried it with my firewall on and off and I have IE to
work on-line, not off line. There must be a program
setting that is interferring with it. I have other
antispyware programs like: SpyBot Search and Destroy;
CounterSpy; Spyweeper; eTrust Pest Patrol; Ad-Adware SE
Professional and lastly Norton SystemWorks with Norton
AntiVirus 2005. Can someone out there tell me if there is
a setting on one of these software applications that may
be blocking my updates with Microsoft Antispyware?

Sunbelts Counterspy and MSAS are cousins with same
spyware engine.

It is up to you to deside which one you prefer.
Also dont run more then one antispyware program
with realtime protection.

I started receiving the same error message after
installing Counterspy as a trial. (Other threads on this
site have indicated close parentage of the two products
and a similar experience).

I uninstalled, rebooted, turned off Counterspy and
reinstalled Microsoft's product and it now finds the
Internet and updates succesgfully.

I believe that other have found that just reinstalling Microsoft Antispyware
allows both products to work, as I understand it.
