Unable to uininstall - error 5001

I am running Win XP Pro with SP2. I am unable to uninstall the game Prince of
Persia Sands of Time. When I try to uninstall I get an error dialog with the
following text:

When I clock OK a new 'Setup has experienced an error' dialog pops up with
Error code -5001.

I have tried running the Windows Installer Cleanup utility but it does not
list Prince of Persia in the list of installed products.

Help!
