Unable to start BCM

G

Guest

Hi,

I have just reinstalled BCM v2 into my Windows 2000 SP4, when I start
Outlook 2003, I received lots of error messages but a common message as
follows:

..Net Framework
An unhandled exception has occured in a component. Access is denined:
"Accessibility"

Keep clicking continue would eventually get rid of all these messages.

I am DESPERATE to recover all my database but without access to BCM, it is
hopeless.

Would someone be able to help me out please?

Thank you.

Hi Eisen

This error message might occur if there is corruption with .Net Frame Work
..Uninstall all version of .Net Frame Work from add / remove program.Once
this is done do a reinstall of BCM V2 to recreate .Net

Hope this helps

Raul,

Uninstalled BCM, .Net Frame and that MSSM SQL stuff to start fresh. It
went well until MsiInstaller reported an error, "SQL Server Desktop Engine -
Setup failed to configure the server. Refer to the server error logs and
setup error logs for more information."

I am not aware of any server needed to be configured. Should I be?

Is it trying to connect to a server somewhere?

I could see that .Net Frame 1.1 had been installed succefully in the Add /
Remove Programs.

I really wonder if BCM v2 is compatible with Outlook 2003 SP1 (11.8010.6360).

Any more clues or suggestions to help me get through this nightmare will be
appreciated.

Hi Eisen

Can you try the following article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/840018/en-us
also do note since your running BCM V2 the named instance would be
MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ rather than the MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM instance
mention in the article.Let me know what happens
