Hi,

We are a small network with win xp sp2 clients and a small office
business server (2000).

The problem is that I have a printer connected to client A which shld
be used by Client B also but neither is B able to see the shares or
connect to the printer.

In Client A Iam not able to see the list of domain users also ?

They both log to the domain server (Domserv)
Same sub net
Static IP's
Both client user rights only
Both windows firewall disabled

Tahnks in advance

Gautam,
Try the following:
1. On PC A that the printer is attached to.
Start> Printers & Faxes> Right click the printer involved> Properties> Sharing tab> Select "Share as a Network Printer"> Make sure that the printer's "share name" is less than 12 characters long and there are no spaces in the name. For my Lexmark and Canon printers, during driver installation on my XP's and W98 machine, there was a space placed in the name for the printer, causing the XP machines not to see it.

2. On PC B With the PC A & the printer on:
Start> Printers & Faxes> Delete the Printer listed there> Then Select "Add a Printer"> In the Printer Wizard> Browse to PC A and Select the Printer listed there. Run a test page from there.

3. You should run a firewall on both PC's, using the Windows firewall program as a minimum. So for each PC:
Control Panel> Security Center> Manage Settings section> Windows firewall> Select to turn it on> Go to Exceptions tab> Make sure "file and printer sharing" is checked. If you are connecting the PC's through a router, there should be a similar setting that has to be enabled in the router's set-up pages.
