Unable to send photos

I am having a problem when I want to send a picture out of a folder.

1) I choose/highlight a photo from a folder

2) an option panel drops down and I choose email

3) I'm given sizing options: I choose and then choose "attach"

The program tries to do something (I see the spinning circle), but nothing
happens. Then I lose access to Outlook.

I have to reboot in order to regain access to Outlook. I have sent picture
this way in the past, but it has been a few months.

I'm running Vista Home; Outlook Express/Office 2007;

I did do a "System Restore" , but that didn't help

Are you using Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook 2007? I didn't think
Vista had Outlook Express, not that it matters. This newsgroup only supports
Microsoft Outlook.

Please clarify.

I'm using Microsoft Office Oulook 2007 to be exact.

If you attach the picture by using the paperclip icon in a new email, does
it work when you attempt it using that method?

Just trying to determine if it's one method of attaching or all.
