Unable to send messages from wireless network hotspots

I travel a great deal and rely on my laptop to send email messages through
Outlook 2003. I use a wireless network at home and have no trouble. However,
on the road, I usually (not always) have trouble sending email messages,
though I can receive them ok. I get around this by going to my ISP home mail
page and send them through the internet, but this is cumbersome. Any
suggestions?

Find out if there's an SMTP server you can use from the wireless carrier or
check with your ISP if they offer authenticated SMTP for you to use when
you're off their network.
