Unable to send e-mails using Windows Mail

I can still receive e-mails but since yesterday when I try and send them I
get the error message 'The connection to the server has failed. Subject
'e-mail subject', Account: 'pop3', Server: 'smtp.btinternet.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number:
0x800CCC0E'. Any ideas?

Are you connected to the Internet through BT Internet at the time?
