Unable to save my Outlook password

Hello everyone,

For some reason, I am not able to save my outlook password. I have tried
MS KB 290684. Even deleted the key in the registry under Protected Storage
System Provider, but still can't save my password.

Anyone have any other ideas, or do I just have to live w/ this one?

Outlook version? Operating System?

Might have something to do with your operating system and version of Outlook.
For instance, Vista and Outlook 2000 or earlier does this with no workaround.

I have the same problem.
I am using Outlook 2002 with Windows Vista Home
Any help would be appreciated.
I have also tried the MS KB 290684 steps but nothing worked.

Outlook 2002 is incompatible with Vista and will not retain passwords.

Not free but cheaper than a new Office/Outlook
