outlook XP will not save password

just got a new PC with Vista Home Premium, loaded my office XP all is running
ok but when ever i use outlook it keeps asking me for my password even
thought I have told it to save it.

Outlook xp is setup to use a pop3 account with my ISP

hope you can help

already tried MS artical number 290684 which did not work
