Unable to Recovery Data

I've accidentally deleted a folder that contained a backup.zip file for
a business on a windows xp sp1 machine 3 days ago. I've tried several
different free programs to recovery the data but with no luck. Nothing
has been reinstalled on the PC since then. Can someone recommend a
solution?
With the programs I have used I see tons of files, but not the .zip. If
I could find it I would purchase a recovery program if I knew it would
work. Does XP strip the data out of the .zip file by any chance?

Have you looked in the Re-Cycle bin?

If nothing in the Recycle Bin, try the below app. Download it to a floppy
disk or a formatted CD-RW, if you have a floppy drive, and run it from
there so you do not overwrite any files including the Zip file you're trying
to restore.

Yea I looked in the RB.
Also ran the Restoration. No Luck..... thanks for the advice anyway
