Unable to read video when added to Powerpoint

Hi,

I am new to world of codecs and videos, I am trying to add a video file
(avi) to my Powerpoint presentation, when I do it comes back saying
that it cannot display this type of sound or movie. HELP I have opened
the file in notepad and found that it is an MJPEG. Not sure where to go
from here? Any information would be appreciated.

Try renaming it as *.mpg and then insert it. This often works for files
that come from digital cameras, which often give out AVIs with the MJPEG
codec.
