avi and PowerPoint

Jennifer

One of our users is trying to put an AVI file into a
power point presentation. He's using PowerPoint XP.

We get the message: Cannot display this type of movie.
If I try to include it as an object, I get: Video not
available. Cannot find 'vids:mjpg' decompressor.

I believe it's a codec issue. I've downloaded
Windows Media Video 9 VCM,
AVIcodec_1.1.0.4.exe, and the
MJpeg codec.

None have helped. Thoughts on this?

Jennifer,

Have a look at the tip towards the end of this page. In the "workaround bugs
and limitations"
Particularly if the file cames from a digital camera

If it works for you please report back.
