I am using Movie Maker to make a DVD to send picture of my children
to their grandparents. I have saved the movie as DV-AVI and it seems
to play fine in the PC put it won't play in the DVD player connected
to our TV. That leads me to belive that it won't work for the
grandparents. I'm using Nero StartSmart that came free with my LG DVD
writer. Should I save it in another fomat? Other suggestions?
Thank you.
===============================
You have created a simple DVD Data
disk by copying the .avi movie file to a DVD.
This will not play on a free standing DVD
player.
You could try creating a VideoCD on a
CD-R with Nero StartSmart but it will not
accept an .avi or .wmv file for a VideoDVD.
In order to create a VideoDVD you need
DVD Authoring software. NeroVision Express
is one example...this is not normally included
in the OEM version of Nero. Other choices may
be...Roxio, ULead, WinDVD, ProShow Gold, etc....
