Unable to Ping NT4 DC but can browse from Network

I have a problem with my NT4 domain controller.

The server is on the network and can be browsed by all client PC's and all
shares are accessible. For some reason though I am not able to ping any other
local servers or connect to the internet.

For example, if I try to connect to \\servername (or IP Address) from the DC
I can connect without error, I can also connect to the DC via \\servername
(or IP Address) from a remote server.

I am sure that all my DNS, WINS, etc settings are correct.

Can you offer me any ideas?

It's most likely a firewall that's blocking your ping packets.
