Unable to open word attachment.

I have Windows XP and I use Outlook Express. I can see
pictures that people send in their emails to me but I am
unable to open word attachments. I do not have MS Word on
my computer so I figure that somehow I must attach these
documents to Word Pad. Any ideas?

Save the attachment to your My Documents folder, then right-click
on the document and select: Open With > WordPad.

You need WORD or at least the WORD Viewer to open a WORD
document.

To be correct, you can see the text that is in a WORD
document using WordPad buy it will not show the formatting
and special features.

WordPad won't show all Word files, Word can do many things that
WordPad can't handle. So you need the free Word viewer that other
posters have cited, or you can install Open Office
(www.openoffice.org), which can handle Word files.
