unable to open up mail attachments

About a week ago, my Windows XP started refusing to let
me open up any attachments in my yahoo mail,or open any
game rooms.I have to use my Windows 98 for either of
these purposes.I havent changed any settings.Please help
me find an answer to this problem..

Here is the search for the word attachments in yahoo mail. Just copy
whats in the qoutation marks and paste into address area. Hope this
helps. There are some attachments you get a virus from, by the way.
so you shouldn't open all of them.

The game rooms may be that you have to update your java.
