Unable to open PDF file attachments

- OS: WINDOWS VISTA
- EMAIL SERVICE: WINDOWS MAIL
- ADOBE READER 9.3.2
- PROBLEM: UNABLE TO OPEN ANY PDF FILE ATTACHMENTS
- ATTEMPTS: UNINSTALLED/REINSTALLED ADOBE READER MULTIPLE TIMES
: CHECKED FORUMS
: pdf. EXTENSION FILES DEFAULT PROGRAM ADOBE READER

Dear Emily,

had the same thing happen to me this morning.
try saving the file to your desktop.
then right click on it and select properties
I found that the "files opens with" had changed from adobe reader to
internet Explorer
I simply changed it back to Adobe Reader and all the PDF files on my desktop
changed back to the PDF file icon.
I then checked the attachments on emails in Windows Mail
and they all would open.
Obviously something that had updated on my computer had changed the file
association.
