unable to open .pst file retrieved from CD

Outlook (exchange 2003) will not allow me to open a .pst file that I have
retrieved from CD.
I have already un-checked the Read Only box in Properties, so its not that.

Strangely, the same file can be opened from the computer that I originally
exported the .pst to. But after it has been resaved to my hard drive from the
CD, Outlook tells me
"The file C:\...etc. test.pst is not a personal folders file"

After the file has been copied to your hard drive and the read-only attribute
is removed, try running the Inbox Repair Tool against it to see if it finds
any errors. Search your drive for a file called scanpst.exe and run it.
Allow the program to make a backup of your file before it makes any changes.
