unable to open hyperlinks in email

I have tried various ways to fix this problem with no such luck. I am using
windows xp service pack 3 and windows 2007. When i click on hyperlinks
contained in emails, I get the error message that the application was not
found or that no program is registered. What do I do?

Uninstall, then reinstall IE 7.

Note that if Service Pack 3 was installed after IE7, you can not
uninstall IE 7 without uninstalling the service pack first!

BTW: What is Windows 2007? Do you mean Word 2007?
