Unable to make Downloads

Ever since I installed Microsoft Windows XP Professional
on my computer I have not been able to download anything.
I get a message that says, "Internet Explorer was unable
to open file." Is there a fix for this?

Jason,

I have the same problem.
My son cannot download (limited user account).
But I can download (administrator account).
Odd problem.

Try right-click/"save target as..", does this work?
