Unable to Logon to Server

I've recently made alot of changes and one may have messed me up. I was using
Me, FP2000 and was on an older satellite modem. I am now using XP Home,
FP2003 and have installed the new Direcway modem. I always publish directly
onto the server and since making these changes, I get the authorization
window and when I send it back, I get a variety of error messages. BTW, my
firewall has been given the permissions for FP and the ISP. I first called
the ISP and they had me do a "cmd trace" to their server which was
successful up to their firewall so they said that the problem is at my end
since they have not made any changes in their system and they were able to
get onto the site in question. Depending on how I try to go in, I get "Web
folder...is no longer available, problem with the server" or "Server sent
response FP could not parse" or"Server timed out". When I later did a Ping to
the domain and IP of the site, they both failed. Since they are using IIS
5.0, I went in to the vti bin/shmtl.dll/Page Name and got "Cannot run Server
Ext. on this page". When I go into vti bin/vti aut/author.dll I got "method=
status= status=262148 osstatus=0 msg=unknown content type "" osmsg= I have
been using a web folder target connection (which FP2003 found right away)
that I created on the old OS and had moved to another drive before installing
XP. When I try to create a new one now in Network Places, I get " The folder
you entered does not appear to be valid." When I open the site on IE and Edit
with FP, I still get errors. My computer is one of two (which can't logon
either) on a home network so therefore we have a static IP. I have heard
that when DHCP server creates an IP it may have given one that is being
blocked by my web ISP and that may be causing the problem. If anyone has a
clue what I can try next, please let me know. Sorry for the long
dissertation.

I've seen many posts in many of the MS newsgroups regarding Directway. And
many replies to "get rid of them" as a host because of so many problems.
