Unable to lock computer

I bought a new ThinkPad T60 (T7200 2GHz, 2GB memory) yesterday and installed
windows vista on it.
When I press Win+L or click 'Lock this computer' on the start menu, the
computer shows a message about 'Locking this computer' continuously. It
cannot lock, and then I cannot unlock it.
How can I solve this problem?
