You've probably got a program compatibility problem on your hands.
Did you run the Upgrade Advisor before you upgraded?

Hi Mamamegs,
Yes I ran The upgrade advisor and the only program it picked up was Nero
which I deleted.
The Lock-ups are common and random all with the same error message, I
thought it migt be my Realtek Ethernet card driver with the start of the
error rtl so I upgraded my driver for the Vista version, all was well for a
while then much to frustration have started again.

This is perfectly normal as it is an upgrade. You did not meet the Microsoft
Hardware Alliance Minimum Expendature. Buy a new computer and your problem
will be solved.

Don't you know, Bill's net worth is slipping? That's whay he introduced such
a lousy, buggy OS. It is designed to force everyone to buy all new hardware
and software *after* they fork over money for an upgrade you didn't need in
the first plce. That's the plan, man!

Cha-Ching! Hear the cash register ring!

Hi Mike thank you for your reply, sorry what do you want me to search for, I
really am having a hard time with Vista, I never know when I will get a
lock-up.
I will give Vista a week if by then these lock-ups don't become a thing of
the past then I will bin it and revert back to XP.
I really like Vista, but with these Lock-ups and the complete lack of
support by Microsoft anyway I will give the OS a week.
Thanks.
