Unable to install HP1018

Hello
I get this error message when i try and install an HP1018 printer from disk:
There was aproblem installing this hardware HP1018. An error occured during
the installation of the device The required section was not found in the INF.
Its not the printer because i tryed swaping the printer with a working
HP1018 and it also did not install, i also tryed downloading a new driver and
that did not work and windows update did not fix the problem either.
Can anyone please help.

Check to see if the printer driver is intended for the version of windows
you are using.
It's also possible that the wrong inf file is being accessed by the install
sequence.

Hello Chuck
I found a solution on the HP website i just need to try it now, it looks
pretty complicated like editing the registry, the driver is the correct one
for XP.
