How to stop the Windows XP asking new device

Alex

I bought a new router Dlink DI-524UP, it has a USB print server
built in. I try to connect my printer HP-1018 in this print server,
but failed. I read from Dlink website, this print server do not support
host printer. That may be the reason why I failed.

I disconnected the printer and go back to the normal connection use USB
port, it is OK.

The problem now is when I start the Windows XP, it keep on asking a new
hardware found (printer), if I try to delete my HP1018 and install the new
printer, then it will come an unknown device, it is not a big deal, but this
process keep on annoying me, and will find a unknown ? yellow mark on
the deivce manager.

Any solution ?
thanks in advance

Alex, try rt clicking on that yellow device and choose reinstall driver. Then just follow the
instructions. If your printer came with software HP usually provides it or you can get it
on their website. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=1814094&lang=en
