Unable to install Critical Update KB890175

When I try to install the update for KB890175, manually or via Windows
Update, the installation hangs and I have to cancel it and reboot my system.
I've been looking around for info on this, but I haven't really found much on
this issue. I find it hard to believe that I could be the only one seeing
this issue. I am running the following:

Windows XP Professional w/SP2
All current critical updates and optional updates installed (except for
890175 of course)
Norton Internet Security 2005
Ad-aware
spybot
Visual Studio .NET 2003
Visual C++ 6.0 Standard

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

A possibility:
Your internet options may need to be adjusted because the temporary file
folder may be too full. Take a look at the bottom of this page in Microsoft
help page:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/help.aspx?displaylang=en#errors

I had the same problem. I closed the SpyBot Teatimer and the update
installed ok.
May or may not work for you.
