Cannot install Critical Update! Please Help!

I am having trouble installing a critical security update q323759. Every time I open or save (then open) the computer responds "must have Internet Explorer 6.0 to install". When I look up under help/about EI it says my version is: 6.0.2800.1106.spsp2.030422-1633.

I am trying to get rid of "DSO Exploit" found by Spybot Search & destroy. And according to the research I have done...I need to install the update listed above to help.

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 and am using Windows XP.
 
hi, the most sensible solution rite now is to reinstall your internet explorer. Go download the 6.0 internet explorer and install it. Then try that update from there.
