Microsoft says: This item updates the Bookshelf Symbol 7 font included in
some Microsoft products. The font has been found to contain unacceptable
symbols. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
Read more... (the read more says that this update was released on February
10, 2004 but it just appeared today as a Critical Update at the Windows
Update site).

I have looked at al of the symbols in Bookshelf Symbol 7 font (Bssym7.ttf)
and do not understand why any of these symbols are unacceptable to
Microsoft. Why should I remove this font?

Aren't critical updates for the purpose of fixing bugs and security
issues? How does this qualify as a critical update? Does this font cause
such problems with the Windows Operating system? Should I install it?
