? Unable to install a programme

This is actually for a friend. She's trying to install Incredimail (no it
isn't spyware before someone jumps in) and gets an error "Could not execute
the external program,
C:\DOUCUME~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\INCRED~1\IMINST~1\binaries\IMSetup.exe"
I have told her that it's probably any or all of a combination of pop-up
blocker, firewall or other protective software that's doing that.
Am I right?
 
I also cannot install Incredimail.
I get the 'blue screen of death', suggesting that I don't have enough
RAM or to change my display adapters.
But my display adapter is up to date, and I have tons of RAM
available.
Any suggestions, or is Incredimail a waste of time?
