Unable to Initialize Form

Hi All,

I've come to rely on the Business Contact Manager. It's been a great tool.
Unfortunately I can no longer see the BCM feature on my Outlook Menu Bar and
when I click on Contacts, while I can see the Address Card for each of my
business contacts I cannot pull any of the detail up. I get a message,
Business Contact Manager is Unable to Initialize This Form. I tried
restarting my computer with no luck. Should I reinstall BCM? Will my
Database be intact if I reinstall the software?

Thanks!

First, try to clear your forms cache. Go to Tools, OPtions, Other.
Advanced Options
Custom Forms
Manage Forms
Clear Cache.

See if that fixes it first.

I followed your instructions to the letter but still cannot access the general information page on the default opportun ity form. BCM could not initialize this form.

Try this...

Check if Business Tools menu is avalaible. If not check to see if it is on the "Disabled Item..." list. Do this by going to the "Help" menu and choosing "About Microsoft Office Outlook". Click on the "Disabled Items..." button and click on the "Addin: business contact manager add-in for outlook (irisms32.dll)" then click on the "Endable" button. Restart Outlook and then everything should sync up by itself. If not you may have to Remove the Business Contact Manager data file and add it again.

Business Contact Manager

I'm having the same problem with BCM not being able to initialize my forms. I tried to "clear the cache" and it says I have "low memory". I don't have low memory. I also tried the "enable" fix and that also didn't work.

Will I lose my contacts and all the associated attachments if I reload BCM? Can anybody help?
Thanks!

Thanks scottcarr_pctech
Following the step thru "Help" menu...worked perfectly, yes the item was disabled. The fix was so simple.

Disable Business Contact Manager

Thanks for the excellent help!! I saw some posts about a possible register issue with Net Frame 2.0, so blew away that 187 Mb and reinstalled. BCM toolbar would still not launch with Outlook. Took your advice and checked for disabled items in Help menu and found BCM was disabled by Outlook. Go figure, Outlook is pretty dumb to disable its Business component. Mark in Bend Oregon

Detect and Repair

Unfortunately, none of the options provided worked for me.

It was disabled, but enabling didn't work. I cleared cache, but no help.

I then saw an option under Help to Detect and Repair. I gave it a shot and it worked!

Hope this helps those stuck in the same spot I was.
