unable to get emails

After completely wiping out all programs, I am now having to reload Window
Mail. I can get emails from Microsoft and RoadRunner but no one else. My RR
account gets the emails fine. I have Avast and Superantispyware on as well.
I have tried to disenable both of the latter. Help.
 
It isn't clear to me whether your Windows Mail is receiving any emails.
The services you mentioned (RR and Hotmail) can be accessed both
from the web and via Windows Mail, so it is not clear which method you are
using when you say "I can get emails."

Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive in Windows Mail?
If so, right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
