Unable to find the site or DNS

After installing xp2 sp1, my boardband access was slow and
frequently rec rec error message "Unable to find the site
or DNS" when accessing the web. Any tuning requires?

Further installing AntiSpyware, then scan and remove spys,
it totally unable to access the web after rebooting.

Check Window Firewall was failed to access due to failure
to start the ICF. The broadband link confirmed up.

Uninstalled AntiSpyware but no improvement.

Some people suggested to uninstall XP SP2, will it work
with no harm to my existing data in the pc?

Any Help?

Uninstalling XP SP2 will not help with this issue, although it shouldn't
cause any loss of data.

Mark has posted the correct advice about the loss of networking and firewall
issue.
Follow that articles advice--which you will notice is MUCH simpler in XPSP2
than in previous versions.

I don't have any ideas about your tuning/performance query. Are you running
other antispyware applications? Have you used other antispyware apps to add
large numbers of entries to your Hosts file, for example?
