unable to delete system folder

S

I had a crash with windows xp professional. I started to reboot
(repair) using the windows xp pro cd and somehow I ended up creating a
new folder. At the time I thought that I was being smart by making the
name of the folder 'windowsa' so that at a later time I could delete
the folder 'windowsa' and still have the original folder 'windows' and
data to fix. Now I can not delete the folder windowsa and I can't get
into the original windows folder. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix
this colossal mess? All I want to do is delete the system folder
windowsa. If I can do this I believe that I will be able to repair the
original system folder. Thank you for any help that you might be able
to give me.

Use the CD again (repair) and use the folder 'windows'. No matter what you
do, you are going to lose files under C:\Windows. The repair option does
not change applications or personal files.
