I have a Windows Xp Pro machine on a network. My issue is as follows:
I open a file from a subfolder on a nework share, then close the file, and
then try to delete the entire subfolder. All the files in the subfolder will
be deleted, but then I get a message stating the folder itself cannot be
deleted because it is in use. The server doesn't show that I have the folder
open or in use.
One work around I have found to work is ending explorer.exe and starting
explorer.exe again. I am then able to delete the folder.
If I do not open a file in the folder first, then I have no prblems deleting
everything including the folder. But if I had opened a file at any point
then I run into the issue.
No other computers on this network have the same issue.
Any suggestions?
