Unable to delete a programme from Windows XP Home edition

Hi, my son has downloaded a spyware prog that refuses to be deleted from the
control panel add/remove programmes. Can anyone please tell me how to get rid
of this very annoying programme that inisists we have a virus and of course
is wanting a subscription to get rid of it!!!!!!!! Help Please.......

Sounds a lot like spyfalcon. google spyfalcon for remove process. I used the
manual remove after opening computer in safe mode (click f8 as the computer
boots). Tring to remove files that are associated with an open program is
difficult. Safe mode wold not allow spyfalcon files to open. If it isn't
spyfalocn, google the name of the program and see what remove methods you
can find.

If you have difficulty killing spyfalcon, let me know the problems. I have
gone throgh the same with my son -- it must be a son thing!

I don not know if it is a "son thing!" My boss also seems to have Spy Falcon
on his home computer. Besides turning PC on/off, he's Windows illiterate!
