Unable to delete a file in Vista Premimun Home

Several messages from Microsoft Mail have shown up as files on my c drive
and I have been unable to delete them. When I right click on them, delete is
not an option in the new widow. When I highlight the file and click delete
there is no response. Where should I look for help?
